  • Check which app version you are using.
  • Describe the device model and iOS version.
  • Explain what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
  • If the issue happened during a run, mention the workout type and whether audio cues played.
  • If the issue involves AI or Voxtral, mention which provider and preset you configured.

Setup help

Run Buddy AI can work with different user-configured AI providers. The app currently offers guided setup for common providers, live coaching text when AI is enabled, and optional AI voice rendering where supported.

If you are stuck during setup, include:

  • Which provider you selected
  • Whether you are using a preset or custom endpoint
  • Whether the issue is with text generation, voice rendering, or both

Troubleshooting overview

Live coaching is unavailable

Confirm that your API key is valid, the selected preset is correct, and the provider endpoint is reachable from your device. Also check whether AI coaching is enabled for the current workout.

Audio cues are missing

Check device volume, focus mode, audio route, and whether the session was active when the cue should have played.

Workout context looks incomplete

Check location permissions, make sure the app can stay active during the session, and verify whether the workout was run mostly in foreground or background.

Workout recommendation not refreshing

The recommendation refreshes when the relevant screen becomes visible and the cached result is stale or its inputs changed.
